Designed and optimized for multiplexing including with our Cyto-Cellect® Assay Kits our Viability Probe is a perfect addition for high-throughput single-cell screening using Cyto-Mine® Chroma. These combinations allow the detection of antibody secretion and elimination of apoptotic or non-viable cells in a single experiment during the selection process. By using our Viability Probe, you can identify the most productive, viable cells for cell line development and beyond – saving you both time and resources.

Each kit contains 5 x vials – enough for 5 x Cyto-Mine® Chroma runs.

Overview

Our Viability Probe has been specifically designed for use with Cyto-Mine® Chroma and optimized for use in multiplex assays. It enables our customers to perform high-throughput detection and selection of viable single cells in combination with other assays. For example detection of  single-cell antibody secretion while simultaneously assessing cell viability, ensuring the selection of only viable, high-producing cells.

How it works

In this example, the fluorescent assay probes co-encapsulate with individual cells into picodroplets within Cyto-Mine® Chroma. Inside the picodroplets, these probes detect antibody secretion using Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET), while simultaneously detecting apoptotic markers by Annexin V staining. These fluorescent signals are used to sort and isolate high-producing, viable clones to help accelerate workflows including cell line development and antibody discovery.
